Advocacy has been a defining thread throughout Sarah's professional journey.
She believes that awareness alone is not enough. Real impact occurs when knowledge is translated into action, policy, and sustained behavioural change.
Her broader advocacy interests include antimicrobial resistance, food safety, preventive health, youth engagement, women's health, and equitable access to evidence-based public health information.
As Secretary of the Antimicrobial Resistance Committee of the Young World Federation of Public Health Associations (YWFPHA), Sarah contributes to international efforts that elevate youth voices, strengthen collaboration, and accelerate action against one of the most significant global health threats of our time.
Her AMR advocacy spans awareness campaigns, stewardship promotion, cross-sector collaboration, and contributing to policy conversations at regional and global levels.
She believes that the AMR response requires every sector, every profession, and every generation — and that emerging health professionals have a critical role to play in shaping the solutions.
As a Media and Communications Team Member with the War Against Rabies Foundation, Sarah supports awareness campaigns, public education initiatives, and advocacy efforts focused on rabies prevention and responsible animal health practices.
Rabies remains one of the most lethal — and most preventable — diseases in the world. With a fatality rate approaching 100% once symptoms develop, yet fully preventable through vaccination, it represents a profound failure of public health systems when lives are lost to it.
Sarah is committed to using communication, education, and advocacy to close that gap.
Sarah contributes to conversations that shape healthier societies through articles, opinion pieces, professional publications, educational resources, conference presentations, and public engagement initiatives.
She believes thought leadership is not about visibility alone — it is about creating value, sharing knowledge, and helping others make better decisions.
